Some selected stalls will be selling herbs, fairtrade goods, natural clothing, toys and gifts from exotic places. Some artists will be there.

FOR CHILDREN

Lots of stuff for children, including free face painting and art workshops. See separate page.

CYCLING

Find out that cycling is the healthiest way to get around. Let the London Cycling Campaign tell you how easy it is to get around.

And see if you can still ride a bike. Cyclemagic will be providing tryouts on conventional and some extraordinary bikes. Your chance to try a recumbent, or carry your child on a bike with a child seat or trailer.

OTHER GREEN TRAVEL

TfL will be bringing their Sustainable Travel Roadshow. Also find out about car-share and other greener ways of getting around, including walking.

FOOD

And some good food, or bring your own picnic to make this the greatest free party of the year.

MUSIC

We will have music beside the river in an ideal setting.

Early on we shall have the excellent Havana Good Time, to get you up and dancing.

Sean Taylor will be singing his songs. [2pm approx]

Instant Flight will be here with their psychodelic pop-rock sound. [3pm]

Nsimba and his group Taxi Pata Pata will be performing. Taxi Pata Pata has been called the "world's best soukous band." The New Music Express described their sound as "a joyful rhythm, a light bouncing beat, and sweet vocals that get audiences jumping wherever they perform," while influential BBC DJs Charlie Gillett and Andy Kershaw proclaimed them "Britain's best African band." [4pm]

It should be a lovely day in the sun.. Whatever the weather, enjoy the atmosphere. You are part of this event.

The event falls in BikeWeek and London Sustainability Weeks. The GREENFEST is organised by a group of concerned volunteers put together by hfyclists [the local branch of the London Cycling Campaign].
