REPORTS ON RECENT MEETINGS

LDF [Local Development Framework]
LDF replacing UDP. Meeting with HFLA21 to look at sustainability issues in LDF. We agreed john to send to LBHF on behalf of hfcyclists the recommendation that all new build dwellings require storage space for bikes, as per LBWF guide.

CGSC [Cleaner and Greener Scrutiny Committee]
John wrote to Cllr Eugenie White suggesting a new CRISP [cycle route inspection stakeholder plan] study at SBG [Shepherds Bush Green], as the circumstances there are changing so rapidly, and we want to be sure that cycling is properly considered. Changes to Common, Westfield, bus station, road layout, toucan crossing motorway spur all happening very soon.

LCN+ NW sector meeting [London Cycle Network plus]
John suggested new CRISP at SBG using consultants. It is possible that SBG could be included in the Uxbridge rd CRISP, but more money should be set aside for a proper study. John followed up with an email to LCN+

LCC local groups
Tour de France. Big day the prologue on Saturday 7 July. TfL want LCC to organise rides to it. Intention is that rides will arrive at Hyde Park around noon. Those registering with LCC and on ride get yellow wrist band allowing you into security privileged area on a traffic island near Hyde Park corner [this zone perhaps for enthusiasts, as perhaps crowded and claustrophobic]. Also cycling village to be set up nearer Marble Arch. There will be secure cycle parking at various points.

Organisers are hoping for large numbers on ride, and newcomers are encouraged.

Alan, Mihaly, Brian say they will be involved. Hope many will be involved to promote and help marshal the rides to and from.

PROMOTING OURSELVES.
John will print off some leaflets that people can help distribute to any remaining bike shops, libraries, cyclists etc.

CYCLING ON PAVEMENTS
One of our members was recently done for cycling up the ramp [Is this a footway?] from the Fulham Palace rd subway to join the cycle route on the pavement. We do not recommend that you cycle on pavements. We would hope that the police would put their effort into going after inconsiderate cyclists. The fine is £30.
